For all your research & briefing needs

Legal research and briefing

We understand that legal research and briefing can be overwhelming for trial attorneys and can take time away from preparing your clients and yourself for trial. At Walas Law Firm, we want to ease your stress. We assist attorneys with research and briefing issues that arise before, during, and after trial.  Whether it is responding to a motion for summary judgment, drafting a Daubert motion, or handling an appeal, we are here to help you represent your client.

Trial advocacy requires both tactical skill and strategy.  As trial advocates, we assist attorneys develop a strategic motions practice through the drafting of summary judgment motions, Daubert motions, and motions in limine, which seek to put you in the best position to present your case to the jury.  We also handle other briefing matters, such as responding to pre-trial motions, drafting trial briefs, and assisting with post-trial motions.  In each instance, we work with you to help preserve procedural and substantive issues in the event of an appeal.

Appellate advocacy is “the art of persuading judges.”  Regardless of whether you won or lost at the trial court level, an appeal can present a myriad of issues and procedural pitfalls.  This is where we come in.  Attorney Breean Walas has handled appeals to the Arkansas Supreme Court, the Arkansas Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.   Let our experienced appellate advocates assist you with your state or federal court appeal.
